One journey, four stages
We serve children under eighteen who are in need — starting with children growing up in India’s child care institutions. Need is the only criterion; no other gatekeeping.
The finish line is not a certificate. It is income earned and businesses standing — capability the child owns.

A child moves on when Their venture stands on its own.
Two tracks, honestly measured
The pilot runs two concrete skill tracks with two to three partner organizations, reaching 100–200 children. Both tracks lead to real freelance demand, need no capital, and sit where AI collapses the experience gap between a well-schooled teenager and ours.
AI-assisted digital content & design
Graphic design, short-video editing, and content creation with AI-assisted tools; client communication and pricing basics; portfolios built on real briefs from our network.
Code & prompt fundamentals
Web and no-code basics, AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, and AI operations — the entry rungs of modern technical freelancing.
- Co-designed with partner organizations, not imported — their staff shape schedule, pace, and selection; nothing runs without their sign-off.
- Built for our children’s reality: trauma-informed pacing, catch-up literacy support embedded, mixed-age peer learning.
- Digital access solved up front: a shared device lab at each partner, with offline-first materials — no child needs to own anything.
- Taught by a paid local trainer plus vetted mentors, so quality survives any one person leaving.
The success bars are public, set before we start — completion, capability, movement along the Journey, first incomes. We publish the results either way. If the pilot misses its bars, we say so, diagnose, and re-run smaller.
Young people who complete the Journey return as mentors, trainers, and eventually employers of the next cohort.
“The canvas that was painted paints the next one.”
What we deliberately don’t do
CanvasCode does not run homes, schools, or healthcare. We do not do one-time drives or giveaways. Where our network can connect a partner organization to a resource beyond our mission, we facilitate it quietly, as friends — off-mission and unadvertised. Focus is how a small organization earns the right to grow.
